As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Licensed Dietitian, and Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, she helps people break free from diet culture and embrace a life of health, wholeness, and purpose.

With decades of experience as a health coach, nutrition therapist, and behavior change expert, Tanya brings a fresh, empowering message to every stage, screen, and session. HER Story: Tanya’s Journey to IGNITE Change

From clinical nutrition to wellness solopreneur, Tanya’s career has been a powerful evolution rooted in compassion, innovation, and a deep commitment to transforming lives.

 

A Foundation in Clinical Excellence

Tanya began her career as a registered and licensed dietitian, diving into groundbreaking research on alcoholic hepatitis through a prestigious NIH multi-center study. Her expertise quickly expanded into end-stage organ disease, where she provided life-changing medical nutrition therapy for patients battling diabetes complications, kidney failure, and liver disease.

She didn’t just follow the path—she helped pave it. Tanya established the transplant dietitian role at a major teaching hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, becoming a key player on two multidisciplinary transplant teams and supporting patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her leadership extended to training future dietitians and medical professionals in the complexities of nutrition therapy for solid organ transplantation.

Empowering Healthy Living Online

Tanya’s next chapter brought her into the digital health space as a nutrition expert and health coach with SparkPeople. Through platforms like Babyfit.com, SparkTeens.com, and SparkPeople.com, she empowered thousands—from new moms to teens and adults—to take control of their health. Whether guiding pregnancy nutrition, supporting breastfeeding moms, or helping individuals manage chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease, Tanya’s impact was far-reaching.

She also played a pivotal role in developing innovative programs like The 8-Week Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge, earning editorial recognition and helping countless people make sustainable lifestyle changes.

Driving Wellness in the Transportation Industry

Tanya’s passion for accessible wellness led her to the transportation sector, where she became a CDL wellness coach and Director of Wellness at Rolling Strong. Her work helped revolutionize driver health programs, earning national recognition as one of The Nation’s Best and Brightest in Wellness in 2017. She later returned to Rolling Strong in 2022 as an Account Management Coach Contractor, continuing to shape wellness culture for key clients.

A Personal Awakening: From Diet Culture to True Well-Being

Tanya’s professional journey sparked a personal one. Reflecting on her own experiences with disordered eating and the pervasive influence of diet culture, she embraced a non-diet, intuitive approach to health. She saw firsthand how traditional wellness programs often failed to deliver real results—and she set out to change that.

​

In 2019, Tanya launched her own venture in private practice focused on non-diet nutrition therapy, wellness integration, and strategic culture design. Her mission? To help individuals and organizations IGNITE the Change Within. Her approach blends intuitive eating, mindfulness, and lifestyle-as-medicine strategies to create lasting, meaningful health transformations.

​

Her guided journal, The Mindful Me Journey: A 40-Day Guided Journal Toward a Healthier Relationship With Food and Exercise, became an Amazon #1 New Release and is now distributed internationally.

A Voice for Change and a Champion for Others

Tanya is a sought-after speaker, sharing her insights at summits, conferences, and on podcasts. She also gives back through volunteer work with organizations like Living in Truth Ministries and Women in Trucking.

Athlete. Advocate. Achiever.

Before her professional accolades, Tanya was a standout athlete. She was inducted into the Greenville High School Athletic Hall of Fame for her achievements in volleyball, basketball, and track—including a high jump record that stood for over 40 years. She later earned a place in the Mount St. Joseph University Athletic Hall of Fame for her collegiate volleyball success.
